Micro Fiction: A story in 99 words

The Airport
Roger parked up in the airport’s long stay car park. He had everything he needed in his briefcase should he be there longer than he anticipated; book, newspaper, notepad and pen.
Deciding to go to arrivals that day, he headed straight for the cafe area. It was a good viewing point, he knew the flight schedule and could see the planes coming in.
But it wasn’t the planes he came to watch. Observing the passengers as they greeted their loved ones was so much more satisfying. Absorbing their emotions warmed his heart, making him feel so much less alone.
