Moving On
Jamie had been dreading today. He knew that his love affair couldn’t go on forever but the thought of telling her had been tearing him apart for weeks.
“I have to let you go,” he told her, “ I love you and our memories will stay with me forever.”
Swallowing down the lump in his throat, Jamie stepped out of the car and handed the keys to his beloved sports car over to the enthusiastic dealer. “She’s all yours.” he told him sadly. And took a slow drive home in the new family saloon he had part exchanged her for.
